About Me

Born and raised in the upper Midwest, photography wasn't actually my first love. That place of honor was taken by horses. I don't actually remember when I first decided horses were my favorite thing on Earth, nor do I remember the first time I rode one. What I do remember was noticing every horse in every field on every trip, watching every movie that had even a single horse in it, begging my parents for trail rides, lessons, and a horse of my own.

My love for photography started sometime in high school and I bought my first semi-professional camera when I was in college. Since then, I have developed a love of being able to look back at special moments and capture those special moments for others. I rarely go anywhere without my camera, which apparently is beginning to rub off on my oldest son.

Aside from being a photographer, I'm also a wife and mother of three rambunctious boys. We enjoy the outdoors and spend a lot of our time hunting, fishing, camping, and just being outside. Personally, I also enjoy reading, writing, horseback riding, and swimming.
